Let’s Eat SEOUL: Part 2

If you haven’t read my previous post “Let’s SEOUL: Part 3 - Nodeul Island/Cheong Wa Dae/Amsa-dong Museum/Donuimun Museum/Seolleung Tombs”, I highly recommend checking it out first! You can find it here.

In this post, I’ll introduce some excellent dining spots near the places mentioned in Part 3, starting with Nodeul Island.

Nodeul Island: Where Nature and Cuisine Collide

Nodeul Island is home to several restaurants and cafes, all offering delicious food and stunning views. However, if my friends were visiting, I’d recommend something quintessentially Korean instead of international dishes like pizza or Mexican food.

Restaurant Recommendation: Witch Kimbap (마녀 김밥)

Kimbap is one of the most beloved Korean snacks. Grab a roll and take a stroll around the island, or sit on a bench to enjoy the breeze while savoring your meal. You can also dine indoors with a scenic view of the Han River.

Name: Witch Kimbap (마녀 김밥)

Address: 2F, B Building, Nodeul Island, 445 Yangnyeong-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul

Café Recommendation: The Han River (더 한강)

For coffee enthusiasts or those looking for a post-meal drink, I suggest a café slightly outside the island but perfect for enjoying a panoramic Han River view. It operates until 10 PM, making it a great spot to unwind and take in the night scenery.

Name: The Han River (더 한강)

Address: 1F & 2F, 29-6, Noryangjin-ro 32-gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul

Cheong Wa Dae: Experience Korean Heritage and Cuisine

Located near Samcheong-dong, this area is brimming with traditional Korean charm. If you’re visiting Cheong Wa Dae, why not continue the cultural vibe with a meal that pairs well with makgeolli, Korea’s traditional rice wine?

This cozy eatery offers hearty Korean dishes that perfectly complement the historical atmosphere of Samcheong Culture Street.

Café Recommendation: Pathum (파툼)

Enjoy a warm cup of coffee while taking in a serene yet open view at this popular café. Samcheong-dong Café Street is a beloved destination for young couples, so even if you don’t visit Pathum, you’ll find plenty of charming options along the street.

Name: Pathum (파툼)
